Designed by Max Wexler to challenge golfers of all abilities, it is a friendly resort layout which opened in August 1992 amidst the 5-star luxury of Asia's first fully integrated resort. The Banyan Tree Course winds its way lazily for some time before tightening up to present some tough holes to finish your round. Most memorable is the water plagued 17th with two water carries around a tightlyturning par 5 of immense length. It is a trial to stay dry and safe and,most  flights
